Kanisa project was created to contain kanisaShell. Here is a short background of the word.
Kenisa combo
I wanted a new term for my project, and for a while I was reading about the Elder Futhark runes. I liked the idea of a creative fire (Kenaz) being frozen (Isa) to create unique artwork. “Kenisa” didn’t feel too right, so I changed the ‘e’ to an ‘a’ and got “Kanisa”.
Kenaz rune
The K-rune (Kenaz) symbolizes fire controlled by human; a torch, a forge, a hearth or hot air balloon is all about creating and exploring. Destroying something with fire can be seen as transforming old into new.
Isa rune
The I-rune (Isa) represents ice or the absence of heat, which creates a duality from the first part. This duality got me thinking about limits and the limits of those limits.
Texioty
Texioty is made up of two parts, texoty and texity. Texity allows you to input commands, while texoty shows you output from any helper interactions. The first commands to learn and understand are: ‘welcome’ ‘Commands’ ‘help’.
